Police say they're investigating reports of a cyclist who's been approaching children in a village in Inverclyde.

They say incidents have been happening in Wemyss Bay over the last few months involving a man wearing dark clothing and sunglasses.

A post on one the official Facebook page for the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Division says there's no proof yet that a crime has been committed but offers reassurance to local people that officers are patrolling the area.

They're also asking anyone with information to call the non-emergency 101 phone line.
