Wizard of Booze to be pantomime with unique twist in Glasgow
They've been taking part in rehearsals where they stay anonymous.
Adults recovering from drug and alcohol addiction are getting together to perform Wizard of Booze in the West End of Glasgow tonight in a unique pantomime performance.
They've been taking part in anonymous rehearsals for months run by Creative Change Collective.
Founder Mark McNichol lost his brother to a heroin overdose and told Clyde 1: "Nobody knows the difference between what is real or what is not real.
"Everything is done in character and to my knowledge it is the only recovery themed pantomime in Glasgow."
It's all part of a programme funded by the Scottish Government and Mark claims it has been having a positive impact on alcohol and drug recovery rates.
He added: "The focus is the therapeutic impact of the work and most participants have no interest in acting or writing.
"If somebody talks about something personal such as losing their mum or dad then our delivery teams will deflect it on to the fictional characters."
