Woman rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow

Officers say a woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car on Paisley Road West in Glasgow at lunchtime.

They were called out around 12.25pm and part of the road remains shut.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Thursday, 25 April, 2024, police were called to a report of a woman having been struck by a car on Paisley Road West, Glasgow.

“Emergency services are in attendance and the woman has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Paisley Road West is closed west bound between Bellahouston Drive and Jura Street and enquiries are continuing.”
