Rangers winger Brandon Barker has left the club by mutual consent

The 25-year old struggled to make an impact at Ibrox after joining in 2019.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Oxford United and has only played once for the Light Blues this season.

Barker started their 4-0 Scottish Cup win over Stirling Albion earlier this month.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has now decided the former Manchester City man is surplus to requirements.

A club statement said: "Rangers FC can today confirm the departure of Brandon Barker by mutual consent.

"Everyone at Rangers would like to thank Brandon for his contribution and wish him well for the next step in his career."
