Next week’s Old Firm derby will be the first since 2019 to have away supporters in attendance after Celtic accepted an allocation of around 700 for the match with Rangers at Ibrox on the 3rd of April.

It comes after Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson made a statement last month confirming that visiting supporters would be allowed back for the next meeting.

Celtic have started selling their designation, with people who had tickets for the cancelled game in Govan in March 2020 getting preference.

The favour is expected to be returned when the champions travel to Celtic Park in the split.

It is the first time since before the pandemic that away fans can attend on Old Firm after the two clubs began dwindling allocations.

Before 2018, both sides handed each other thousands of tickets for the derby games but under 1,000 is expected to be the allocation going forward.

Celtic lead Rangers by three points at the top of the Premiership, with seven games left to play.
