John Souttar called up to Scotland squad

The Hearts defender comes in as Grant Hanley and Ryan Fraser drop out

Hearts defender John Souttar has been called up to the Scotland squad to face Moldova and Denmark.

A space has opened up after Grant Hanley and Ryan Fraser dropped out.

Souttar, 25, has recently returned from a long-term injury and is looking to add to his three senior international caps.

He made his Scotland debut in Septermber 2018 in a 4-0 defeat to Belgium.

A month later, in his most recent appearance, he was sent off for two bookings in a 2–1 loss to Israel.

Steve Clarke's side are away to Moldova on Friday night where a win will seal a spot in the World Cup qualifying play-offs.

The national side then host Denmark the following Monday in their final group match.
