Leigh Griffiths is facing a probe by the Scottish FA after kicking a smoke bomb at St Johnstone fans.

A video on social media shows the Dundee forward striking the pyrotechnic into the stand occupied by away supporters at Dens Park.

The on-loan Celtic man had been receiving abuse from the Saints support during the Premier Sports Cup match.

He could now face disciplinary proceedings from the governing body following the incident.

Dundee lost the match 2-0 with Shaun Rooney and Ali Crawford bagging the goals.

Griffiths has yet to score in his opening three appearances for the Dark Blues.
