Rangers have announced the club will face Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly on Saturday the 23rd of July.

The game will be played at Ibrox Stadium at 3pm.

The Scottish Premiership season is set to kick off one week later.

The two clubs have met in several friendlies over the years, most recently in 2004, but have only faced each other competitively twice, both in the 1962/63 season.

The Govan side were beaten 3-2 at home and lost 5-2 at White Hart Line in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.

Spurs are currently 5th in the English Premier League, just two points off a Champions League spot.

Rangers sit second in the Premiership, six points behind league leaders Celtic with four games to play.

The Gers take on RB Leipzig in the Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
