Rangers have completed the loan signing of Manchester United winger Amad Diallo.

The 19-year old joins on a deal until the end of the season from Ralf Rangnick's side, but the club don't have an option to buy him in the summer.

He becomes their second loan signing of the January window after midfielder James Sands was drafted in from New York City FC.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst had been keen to strengthen his attacking options after a long term injury to Ianis Hagi.

Juninho Bacuna has also left the club to join Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee.

Diallo was signed by United in the summer of 2020 for £20million, potentially rising to £35million with add-ons, from Serie A side Atalanta.

He has appeared for the United first team on nine occasions, scoring once, but has hasn't been able to hold down a regular spot in the squad.

His game time has been limited this season with just one first team appearance, although he has scored six goals in five games for the under-23 side.

The youngster has also scored once in three international appearances for the Ivory Coast.

Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst told the club's official website: Manager, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, continued: “I am really pleased to add Amad to our squad for the rest of the season.

“He is a player who I have been aware of for some time, and when the opportunity to sign him came up, we very keen to make it happen.

“He will add a lot to our squad and provide even more competition for the players in the forward areas.”

The Ibrox club sit top of the Premiership by four points and travel to take on Ross County this Saturday.
