Rangers have completed the signing of winger Óscar Cortés from Lens.

The deal is a loan move with an option to make it permanent in the summer.

Cortés would then pen a four-year deal with the Ibrox side.

The forward becomes Philippe Clement's third signing of the window after Fabio Silva joined from Wolves and Mohamed Diomande arrived on a deal that will be made permanent later in the year.

The Colombian began his career with local team Millonarios, scoring seven goals across 28 appearances.

He also starred for his national team at the 2023 under-20 World Cup, scoring four times, and made his debut for the senior team last year.

This earned him a move to French side Lens, who paid around £4m for his services.

However, Cortés has struggled for first team appearances and only made four from the bench in Ligue 1 - scoring once and grabbing an assist.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: Speaking after signing for Rangers, Cortes commented: “I am very honoured and privileged to be signing for Rangers.

“I have heard a lot about the history and tradition of Rangers, and I have had positive conversations with the manager who said I can help the team reach their goals this season.

“I am really excited to join up with my teammates and hopefully exciting the fans with my style of play.”
