Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence 'ruled out until March'

Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence looks set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

The 28-year old made a bright start to life at Ibrox after joining from Derby County in the summer.

However, Lawrence hasn't featured for the club since August with his last game coming against Ross County.

Herald and Times Sport are reporting the Wales international will now visit a specialist in London to look his Achilles issue and is unlikely to play again until March.

Lawrence is one of a number of players currently on the sidelines at Ibrox with Giovanni van Bronckhorst admitting it was impacting their form.

The Dutchman ultimately lost his job last week with Ibrox chiefs now on the hunt for his replacement.

Connor Goldson Kemar Roofe, Ianis Hagi, Ryan Jack and Filip Helander are just some of the players who have missed several matches in recent months.

In an Instagram post last week, Lawrence said: “Tough couple of months with injuries, the hard work continues to get back under the lights."

Rangers return to action on 15 December when they host Hibernian at Ibrox.

The Light Blues currently sit nine points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
