St Mirren have completed the loan signing of Jordan Jones.

The former Rangers and Kilmarnock winger joins from Wigan on a deal until the end of the season.

Jones has made just nine League One appearances for his club this season.

Last season he scored three goals and grabbed four assists in a loan spell at Sunderland.

Speaking after being unveiled by the Buddies, Jones said: "I spoke to a lot of clubs and a lot of managers but I got the best feeling from Jim (Goodwin).

"I’m at the stage of my career where I have to play and I’m trusting my gut on this one

"I just want to get back happy again. It’s been a tough six months at Wigan so getting back happy is my main aim."

Manager Jim Goodwin told the club's official website: "We’ve been working extremely hard on it over the last couple of weeks.

"He gives us something that we have been missing all season which is that real injection of pace and creativity at the top end.

"Hopefully he’ll assist the forward players and score some of his own as well."
