Yosuke Ideguchi completes permanent move away from Celtic

Celtic midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi has completed a permanent move to Vissel Kobe.

The 27-year old joined under Ange Postecoglou in January 2022 but failed to establish himself in the Hoops side.

He went on to make just six appearances for the Parkhead side in all competitions - with the last coming in a 6-0 win over Motherwell in May 2022.

Ideguchi moved on loan to Japanese side Avispa Fukuoka at the start of last year.

He impressed during his time there and was nominated for J.League Player of the Year.

Champions Vissel Kobe have now made their move to sign Ideguchi on a permanent deal from Celtic.

Celtic posted on X: "Yosuke Ideguchi has today joined J.League Champions, @visselkobe on a permanent transfer.

Best of luck, Yosuke!"

Yuki Kobayashi has also been linked with a move away from Glasgow.

The defender is another who has failed to make an impact in his time at the club and could be reunited with former coach Harry Kewell.

Kewell left Celtic last month to take over as manager of Yokohama F. Marinos.
