Marks & Spencer is launching a collection of flavoured gins with a colour changing twist, which has left us feeling even more excited for the summer.

Teaming up with Scottish distillery, The Old Curiosity, M&S is bringing two now flavoured gins with magical colour changing properties to store shelves this spring.

The gins come in two flavours: British Rose, which transforms from a pale gold to a bright fuschia with a splash of tonic, and British Lavender – this also changes from purple to pink.

And you thought we’d reached peak millennial with the gin-flavoured cheese, didn’t you?

So, here’s how it works...

“The gins keep the natural properties of the plants they're made from, consequently, when tonic is added, not only does the mixer open up the 'nose' of these fabulous gins, it changes the pH of the spirit together with its original colour,” an M&S spokesperson explained.

They also revealed, “The gins are 100 per cent naturally distilled and infused using florals and other botanicals and are free of chemicals, sugars, fruit extracts or flavour compounds.”

M&S’s colour changing gins will be available to buy in store and online from next week, and cost £25 a bottle.

Always remember to drink responsibly.
