The popular image messaging app Snapchat is releasing some sunglasses which allow you to record a video and automatically send it to the app.

According to Snapchat the sunglasses known as 'Spectacles' have a totally new type of camera integrated into them that make it easy for you to create 'Memories', a way of saving Snaps and Stories.

The camera is capable of saving a whole day's worth of Snaps in a single charge and the frames are available in three colours.

The Spectacles can then connect wirelessly to Snapchat on your phone by Bluetooth or Wifi and will send the new circular format videos which can be played fullscreen on any device.

All the features of the new gadget can be seen in the videos released by Snapchat.

The first (video) above shows a group of skateboarders capturing their Memories in a skate park near what looks like Venice Beach, California, while the second video (below) takes place at a little girl's fifth birthday party.
