Dermot Kennedy is about to perform his BIGGEST headline shows EVER, and it's right here in Belfast, this weekend!

Belsonic is ready to takeover Ormeau Park for another epic weekend of live music and festival fun.

After selling out in a matter of seconds, Dermot put on another date for his local fans. He's one of Ireland’s biggest success stories, his debut 12-track album ‘Without Fear’ spent 28 non – consecutive weeks at number 1 in the Irish Charts, making it the second biggest selling debut album ever in Ireland!

Dermot posted on social media this week ahead of his trip to Belfast, sharing how thankful he is to be back on stage performing again.

He posted: "UK tour has been going so well. Thank you for coming out to see us and giving us so much love. Two 20,000 capacity shows in Belfast this weekend. Biggest headline shows I’ve done so far. Very grateful to be doing what I do X"

What will the weather be like?

Saturday looks set to stay dry in the day with some sunny spells, though turning cloudier in the evening with a chance of rain. Best to dress appropriately. Maximum temperature 18 °C

Sunday will have a cloudy start, with a few showers expected in the afternoon.

Is there parking available?

There are NO parking facilities on site, event organisers are advising those attending the gigs to use public transport.

Translink will operate a bus between Belfast City Centre and Ormeau Park, plus late-night bus and train services to get you home.

When do gates open?

Gates open at 5pm to allow extra time for entry requirement checks re: Covid-19 status.

Covid-19 status info:

In order to gain access to Ormeau Park, ALL ticket holders will need to demonstrate their COVID-19 Status on entry by providing ONE of the following, listed below:

  • Proof of full vaccination - both doses received (at least 14 days prior to the event)
  • Proof of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test (taken no more than 48 hours prior to the event)
  • Proof of natural COVID antibodies based upon a positive NHS PCR test within 180 days of the event

Can you bring food and drinks into the festival with you?

No food or drink is allowed in, there will be security checks at the front gates. You can purchase food and drinks from the catering facilities inside the gates.

Included in this weekend's Belsonic lineup is Ryan McMullan and Holly Humberstone.

Are tickets still available?

There are a handful of tickets available for Saturday night's gig on September 18th. You can purchase tickets viaticketmaster.ie

Sunday night's gig is sold out.
