Bus on fire causes traffic diversions in Comber

A burning bus has caused the closure of part of Comber.

Both the PSNI and the Fire and Rescue service attended the scene earlier today (Thursday)

And in a statement the PSNI said diversions were in place at High Street and Ballygowan Road in the Co Down town.

"Police received and reported to a report of a bus on fire in the vicinity of Ballygowan Road, Comber, shortly after 11.10am today, Thursday 16th June," the statement said.

"Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.

"The area remains closed to traffic at this time, with diversions in place at High Street and Ballygowan Road.

"There are no further details."
