Viable device found in Banbridge

Police say a viable device was discovered during a security alert in Banbridge.

It was found in Hawthorne Hill early on Saturday morning.

25 homes were evacuated-the alert is now over and residents have returned to their homes.

The device has been removed from the scene and taken away for further forensic examination.
