Darius Rucker arrested on drug charges in Tennessee

It's been reported that 57-year-old country star Darius Rucker was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday on drug charges.

According to NBC News - Rucker “is fully cooperating with authorities related to the misdemeanour charges”, the singer’s attorney, Mark Puryear, said.

The Hootie & Blowfish frontman was scheduled to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on Friday.

Rucker has since been removed from the lineup on the music venue’s website.

The Wagon Wheel singer will visit Belfast this May for a show at the Waterfront Hall on 11h May 2024.
