The Pistol Annies Country 'supergroup' have been off the radar for some time now. Comprised of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley the group last performed together in 2012 at the CMT (Country Music Television) awards. Since their last performance, Lambert and Monroe have successfully navigated their solo careers to great heights but in a recent interview Lambert shared her views for the year ahead.

Her last solo project 'The Weight of These Wings' gave her a much needed outlet for her thoughts and feelings at the time, commenting Lambert said, “It just almost honestly gave me more strength to go, ‘Alright. I got through that. I’m happy, let’s move on."

She has commented that the Pistol Annies are working on some new material and although no specifics have been given, she is sure 2018 will be a year that the Pistol Annies get back together and produce something new and exciting.

“Literally the other night I had a song that kind of just came out of the air to me, and I sent a verse and a chorus to the girls. And nobody said anything. Not, ‘Hi, how you doing,'” she recalled. “Everybody’s in different directions, which is always why Annies takes a while.

“I sent them half a song, and then within three minutes, I had a whole song. They both sent me a verse back. And I was, ‘And, we’re back.
