'Nashies' everywhere will be shedding a tear as the cast have just announced the overseas leg of their farewell tour for next year. So far they've announced six dates in April 2018 and these will take in the sights of Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff and London.

So far there's been no mention of any Ireland dates, north or south, but keep checking back on Downtown Country for updates relating to this.

Tipped for the bill are performances by Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio each showcasing their own work as well as hits from the CMT show. The tour has previously sold out venues in 2016 and 2017.

Since it's inception in 2012, Nashville has inspired 22 soundtracks including a Christmas album collectively selling over one million units and over five million single song downloads.

Season six of the show airs on CMT in the states from 4th Jan in two parts, with the finale set for the summer. UK fans can expect to wait to Autumn 2018 for the start of the showings.

Tickets go on sale for the tour on 8th December.
