Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council

Presenters Deputy Dave and Stuart Robinson will be switching on the Christmas Tree Lights across the Borough from the 18 to 25 November

Ards and North Down Borough Council

Bangor - Saturday, November 18, 12noon–7pm (switch on 5.30pm McKee Clock Arena)

Enjoy the seasonal bar and music with a programme of entertainment and more at the McKee Clock arena.

Comber- Thursday, November 23 4-8pm taking place in the Square and hosted by Comber Regeneration Community Partnership

Newtownards, Saturday November 25 10am-7pm (lights switch on at 6pm Conway Square)

Enjoy stage performances and a festive atmosphere at the local Christmas market, hosted by Ards and North Down Borough Council.

Holywood- Saturday, November 25, 10am- 5pm hosted Holywood and District Community Council.

Donaghadee, Friday December 1 5-9pm at market facing Marina Car Park with a disco on pier 5.30-6.30pm finished with none other than Santa arriving on a lifeboat followed by a parade to the market at 6.30pm.


Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council

Christmas Lights Switch on and Twilight Market events to take place from Friday, 17 November, to Saturday, 2 December.

There will be a line-up of live entertainment, festive activites and Santa and the Lord Mayor to present the countdown of the light switch on.

Relaxed Christmas events will return to Bleary Community Centre, from Friday, 1 December to Sunday 3 December, and Friday, 8 December to Sunday, 10 December. These events provide children with autism and Special Educational Needs the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs Claus in a calm environment.


Belfast City Council

Returning for the first time since 2019 pre-covid, the Belfast Christmas lights switch-on will take place on Saturday, November 18.

The Lord Mayor of Belfast will be joining to light up the city and begin the festive season, starting at 6.30pm.

Tickets for the switch-on will be released at 10am on Wednesday, November 8, from visitbelfast.com,

CoolFm breakfast shows presenters, Pete Snodden, Rebecca McKinney and Paulo Ross will also act as hosts.

Wheelchair accessible platform viewing for the event can be booked by calling 028 9024 6609 on Wednesday, November 8.


Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council

Ballymoney will be on Thursday November 16 which will see Santa make his way around the town between 3pm and 5pm.

Limavady will follow on Saturday November 18 from 10.30am - 12.30pm, with Ballycastle up next on Thursday November 23 from 3-5pm.

Coleraine will take place on Friday November 24 between 3-5pm.


Derry City and Strabane District Council

Culmore Community Hub will host the first event on Friday November 17 at 6pm, with an Elf Parade from Culmore to the Community Hub then followed by Santa switching on the lights.

Santa will lead through the streets of Derry on Friday November 24 at 6pm.

Strabane will take place on Saturday November 25 from 5-7pm.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council

Christmas Lights Switch-On events and entertainment on Saturday, November 25 in Enniskillen and Omagh.


Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council

The #LC_lovesChristmas programme starts with the big Christmas switch-on in Lisburn City Centre on Thursday, November 23, at 7pm.

The Castle Gardens Light Trail will start on Friday, November 24, running daily from 4- 8pm until Friday, December 22, and is free to attend. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening will enjoy live music and Christmas markets.


Mid and East Antrim Borough Council

Larne Christmas lights switch on will take place on Friday, November 17, at Broadway in the town from 5pm - 8pm (switch on 7.30pm)

Santa will lead the magical parade, leaving Larne Market Yard around 7pm before switching the lights on at Broadway at 7.30pm.

Ballymena Christmas lights switch on - Saturday, November 18, at Harmony Hub.

Carrickfergus Christmas lights switch on - Saturday, November 25 on High Street in Carrickfergus. The Mayor and Santa’s countdown to the official lights switch will be at 5.30pm, finished by fireworks display at 5.45pm from Fisherman's Quay.

Whitehead Christmas lights switch on Saturday, December 2 at 5.30pm followed by a firework display at 6pm along the promenade.


Mid Ulster District Council

Cookstown Town Centre, Friday, November 24, from 6.30pm to 8pm. The Christmas Lights Switch On will take place at approximately 7.25pm.

Market Square, Magherafelt lights up on Saturday, November 25, from 2pm to 8pm.

A Christmas Street Party on Broad Street will take from 6.30pm to 8pm, before Santa arrival at 7.30pm to switch on the Christmas Lights, finished by fireworks display at 7.35pm

Market Square, Dungannon, Saturday, November 25, from 6- 8pm. Santa’s arrival and Christmas Lights Switch On will take place from approximately 7.50pm.

Maghera Walled Garden and Town Centre, Saturday, December 2, from 3pm to 6pm. The Lights Switch On will take place at the St. Lurach’s Road Junction at 5.45pm by Santa.


Coalisland lights up on Sunday, December 3, from 5pm to 7pm (switch on at 6.50pm)
