Occupant 'left shaken' after burglary in south Belfast

The occupant of a house in south Belfast has been left shaken following the report of a burglary which happened yesterday evening.

A police spokesperson said: Shortly after 9, we received a report that a householder in the Sharman Road area had discovered a man inside the property."

The suspect ran away after seeing the occupant.

Police enquiries are ongoing to establish if anything has been taken.

Police say he suspect was described as being aged in his mid 20s, of medium build, with short dark hair, and was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.

Officers are appealing for information and witnesses to get in touch.
