A man is recovering in hospital today (Friday) after a shooting at his house in west Belfast.

The victim in his 50s was struck twice in the leg after gun-men opened fire through the front door of the house in the O'Neill Lane area just before 9 last night.

The PSNI said two men wearing dark tracksuits were seen fleeing from the area on foot towards Brittons Parade after the shooting.

And they have appealed for anyone with any information to contact them.
