A fresh weather warning was today (Monday) in place right across Northern Ireland.

The Met Office has upgraded a previous yellow alert to amber for heavy rain - and said flooding of homes and businesses was likely.

There has been a fresh weather warning for flooding in Northern Ireland

The Met Office added that 'fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life'

Extensive flooding of homes and businesses is also possible.

Alerts were expected to last throughout the week.

Meanwhile, a clear-up operation is continuing in parts of north Down after serious flooding yesterday
