Pigs die in farmyard fire in Dungannon

A number of pigs have died after a fire at a farmyard in Dungannon.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene on the Gorey Road on Friday evening.

Appliances were mobilised from Dungannon, Pomeroy, Cookstown, Portadown, Omagh and Dungiven.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and water form jets to extinguish the fire.

Group Commander Declan Rodgers said the cause of the fire is still being investigated by the NIFRS.
