Northern Ireland is set to experience another cold snap this weekend with a mixture of sleet, and ice in the forecast.

According to the Met Office wintry showers and icy patches are expected tonight, especially in the west and north.

A yellow weather warning has been issued from 6pm tonight to 10am tomorrow (Thursday 10th).

Untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths could cause accidents or injuries.

With night time temperatures expected to fall close to zero, drivers will have to brace themselves for black ice in the mornings - worth getting the de-icer back out.

Snow is expected to hit the south of Ireland later this week, there’s likely to be snow showers on Thursday afternoon, with temperatures dipping to lows of between -2°C and -4°C.

It doesn't look like we'll be having any snow days just yet, but forecasters have asked drivers to be extra careful when out and about tonight and tomorrow.
