A young father from America has created a device which allows parents to use their smartphones whist feeding their children to prevent ‘boredom’.

The device, known as the ‘Swipe & Feed’, is a plastic gadget that allows users to attach a bottle to one end and a smartphone to the other. The dishwasher safe device allows parents to adjust the angle of the bottle to their baby’s mouth, whilst they use their smartphone in their spare hand.

'Swipe & Feed' is described on the website as, ‘A unique solution to a problem every parent experiences, doing anything while feeding a baby. Now you can catch up on those important work emails, share photos of your baby with loved ones, read the news and even buy diapers and wipes, the possibilities are limitless'.

The designer of the new gadget is Tim Causa from Virginia in America. Speaking on Good Morning Britain about his design, Tim said "You're there for a long time, so being able to catch up with emails and get some work finished made a big difference."

Although some think the new gadget is a great idea, others think the creation could be harmful to the development of the parent and child bonding process. When the company shared the new product onto their Facebook page, they received a mix of reactions.

Despite receiving some negativity around his design, Tim Causa has now set up a crowdfunding page to raise funds of $12,000 to help get the product to mass market.
