Daniel the Duck, or Daniel Turducken Stinkerbutt to use his full name, has the unusual 'job' as an emotional support duck and accompanied his owner Carla on a couple of flights recently.

Carla suffers from PTSD following a bad accident in 2013 and hasn't flown since then. She needed the support of Daniel on board the flight so her doctor wrote a letter to explain that he was an integral part of her PTSD treatment.

Photos of the duck wearing little red shoes and a Captain American nappy quickly circulated on Twitter when fellow passenger Mark Essig tweeted them, attracting thousands of hearts and retweets.

Daniel became quite the celebrity onboard, "Everyone just took notice of him and fell in love," Carla explained, "I mean, he's an adorable, funny and sweet little guy. He was very well behaved at the airport and during the flight."

Talking to ABC News Carla explained how Daniel doesn't just give her emotional support he can sense when she is about to have a panic attack and puts his feet on her chest to encourage her to lie down.
