A recent survey conducted by DIY, Hardware and Homeware group, Homevalue polled over 1,000 adults across Ireland to see which 'tradie' came out on top.

Findings revealed that painters and decorators were voted as the "best craic" at 18%, followed closely by plumbers at 15% and bricklayers at 14%.

Electricians also scored highly, they are believed to be the "most professional" the most trustworthy and the best timekeepers. They were also branded the most expensive, but they're 100% worth the investment, right?

We've spent much of lockdown stuck between four walls, picking apart our homes. So it was interesting to hear that 38% of those questioned, encountered a significant delay when trying to secure a tradesperson in the last 12 months.

We all know how tough it is to find a bright 'spark' or reliable plumber. Three quarters of adults surveyed claim that ‘Word of Mouth’ and recommendations from friends and family impact their decision.

Do you agree - have you a catalogue full of comedy geniuses and helpful tradespeople on standby?
