Shopmobility Belfast
Shopmobility Belfast can provide a wheelchair to help children with mobility problems with the support of Cash for Kids.
Shopmobility Belfast is a charity, which provides free daily hire and long-term hire of electric scooters, powered wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs. As part of the Shopmobility Belfast service, they provide short term hire of wheelchairs to adults who through disability, illness or accident have mobility problems. They asked Cash for Kids for help to fund the specialized equipment needed to extend this service to children. The grant recieved from Cash for Kids will be used to provide an electric powered wheelchair, which will be stationed at Belfast Zoo. This will enable children with mobility issues to visit the attraction with their family comfortably and give them a level of independance.
