St. Luke's Family Centre
St. Lukes are able to offer the children they support activities and new equipment with the support of Cash for Kids.
St. Luke's Family Centre provides support to families in the local area which is in the top 5% of disadvantaged communities in N.Ireland. They operate a number of different courses which aim to improve personal development, boost confidence, teach new skills and guide people away from the benefits cycle and back into employment. In addition to this, they also provide a creche facility for 0-4year olds to support their users while they complete courses or use our drop-in facility to receive information on health, education and social welfare as well as peer support.
The grant money from Cash for Kids will be spent on new equipment for the creche, such as new furniture, like tables, storage equipment, high chairs, a baby changing station and new educational toys. In addition to this it will help fund courses which will also benefit our children greatly e.g. baby/toddler sign to music and Jo Jingles.
