After months of rumours, country legend Dolly Parton has been confirmed for Glastonbury this summer!

The 68-year-old icon will bring hits like ‘Jolene’, ‘9 To 5’ and ‘I Will Always Love You’ to The Pyramaid Stage on Sunday 29th June.

Breaking the news on Twitter this morning, Dolly wrote:

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis enthused: "It's something we’ve been wanting to happen for a long time, and she finally said yes."

It’s currently unclear what time Dolly will be playing but it’s predicted that she’ll play the ‘legends’ Sunday afternoon slot following in the footsteps Shirley Bassey, Kenny Rogers and Johnny Cash.

Blondie also confirmed they’re joining the Glastonbury bill at The NME Awards in London last night. The New York band last played Worthy Farm in 1999.

Arcade Fire have previously been confirmed as Glastonbury headliners with Lily Allen, Warpaint and Suzanne Vega also on the bill.

Glastonbury takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th June 2014. All tickets are sold out.
