Ed Sheeran's fans are so excited about his new songs
Ed quickly began to trend on Twitter
Earlier today Ed Sheeran released not one, but TWO new songs and they are already a hit with fans.
Within minutes of the announcement Twitter was flooded with the hashtag #WelcomeBackEd and hundreds of memes. For some the excitement was too much to handle.
Many of the tweets also compared his two contrasting songs, 'Castle On The Hill' and 'Shape Of You' with hilarious photos listening to the songs.
One tweet even called the Yorkshire-born singer the patron saint of music.
Ed's latest singles are his first releases in over a year and showcase very different sides to his songwriting talent, with 'Castle on the Hill' being an insight into growing up in Framlingham, Suffolk.
