Johnny Depp has paid tribute to Alan Rickman as he promotes the actor's final film, Alice Through The Looking Glass.

Alan, who sadly died in January, plays Absolem the caterpillar in the film and has been hailed as having a ‘unique talent’.

Johnny, who takes the role of the Mad Hatter, said at the London premiere: "He was a supremely unique talent. That voice, that persona. There's hardly anyone unique anymore. He was unique.”

Speaking to our Ents team he revealed that he was ‘taken aback’ by the news of the actor’s untimely death, adding that the 69-year-old was a ‘vivid man’.
