Take That join Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran on BRITs live line-up

Next month's ceremony promises to be spectacular

Legendary boyband Take That have been added to next month’s BRIT Awards live line-up.

Gary, Mark and Howard’s O2 Arena performance on Wednesday 25th February will mark the sixth time they’ve appeared live since their debut back in 1994.

However, there’s no chance of Take That adding to their tally of eight career BRIT Awards – the trio didn’t pick up a single nomination when the shortlist was announced last Thursday (15th January).

If Coldplay beat One Direction, Alt-J, Clean Bandit and Royal Blood to the best British Group gong, they will overtake Take That to become the second most successful act at the BRIT Awards ever with nine awards.

Only Robbie Williams has a bigger haul with 12 solo BRIT Awards and a further five as a member of Take That.

This year’s live line-up already boasts Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Royal Blood, Paloma Faith and George Ezra.

Sam Smith leads the nominees with five nods and is closely followed by Ed Sheeran and George Ezra who have four each.
