You can't beat a cheesy rom-com set in Ireland right 🥰

We know and love her as Derry Girls icon Erin Quinn, but in this project, Saoirse-Monica plays the role of Emma Callaghan.

Finding You is a classic coming-of-age romantic-comedy and is based on Jenny B. Jones’ 2011 young adult novel, There You’ll Find Me.

The tale follows aspiring violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid), who travels to Ireland for a semester abroad following a dodgy audition at a prestigious New York music conservatory.

She befriends local teen Emma Callaghan (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) who works at the B&B she's staying in. Coincidentally heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre) is also staying there, whilst he films a medieval fantasy movie nearby.

Romance blossoms between the unlikely couple, but will the pressures of Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams?

Filming took place in and around Dublin, Claire, Offaly and Kildare. The film’s village set location was in Carlingford, a beautiful coastal town on the Cooley Peninsula in Co Louth.

Expect to see breathtaking landscapes, charming characters and of course there'll be hilarious quotes from the queen of comedy herself.

The movie has already premiered in the US (Friday 14th May) but a UK release date is to be confirmed.
