It's the final on Sunday

So far on this year's The Jump we've seen one celebrity leave before the series started, an Olympic legend fracture a bone and an ex-model leave the show due to a mystery illness. Now another contestant has quit the show due to 'personal reasons'.

Former Welsh Rugby player Gareth Thomas has left the show just a few days before the big final on Sunday night due to 'personal reasons'.

Gareth was due to compete against Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, Olympian Louis Smith, model Amy Willerton, Kadeena Cox, Jason Robinson and Emma Parker Bowles in Sunday's big final.

A source close to Gareth said, “Gareth was devastated to have to leave. He’s had the time of his life and thought he was in with a shot of winning."

“He’s left due to personal reasons and has travelled back home from Austria to be with his family."

It has now been confirmed that recently eliminated contestant Lydia Bright will replace Gareth for the final.

The TOWIE star was eliminated from the show last Sunday after failing to jump further than Amy Willerton and Spencer Matthews in the final jump off.

After last year's series of the controversial show saw a massive seven contestants leave with serious injuries, many viewers called for it to be scrapped due to safety concerns.

Despite this, series four returned to our TV screens last month.

Over the last few weeks, model and DJ Vogue Williams was forced to leave before the series kicked off after damaging ligaments in her knee.

Olympic legend Sir Bradley Wiggins was then forced to withdraw from the competition after suffering a small fracture in his leg.

Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews was also on the injury list when he dislocated his shoulder in a sickening clash. Despite the injury, the 27-year-old was able to recover and continue in the competition.

The Jump final, hosted by Davina McCall is set to air on Channel 4 on Sunday night.
