Gareth Gates divides opinion with new combover look

Former Pop Idol star Gareth Gates shocked his fans last year when he posted a photo showing off his incredible transformation from spikey haired teenager to ripped man and now he's divided opinion once again.
Gareth stole the nation's heart back in 2001 with his shy demeanor, but he's certainly grown up and recently divided viewers of This Morning with his new combover hairstyle.

As viewers watched the show, many took to Twitter to discuss the 32-year-old's new look. Some fans loved his new haircut and expressed how 'gorgeous' they think he looks...
Others were less complementary...

Gareth was on the show with Jennifer Vaughan to discuss the daily struggles people face when living with a stammer and how the McGuire programme has helped them both in their lives.
Guest Jennifer revealed how her parent's divorce brought on her stammer, which got progressively worse as she got older. Gareth later added, "Having a stammer, it shapes and moulds the person you are. You can't be the person that you want to be.
"I again found it really hard, especially as a kid. I didn't know anybody else who had a stammer, so it was a very lonely place."

After enjoying a successful music career throughout the noughties, Gareth decided to move into musical theatre and landed the role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, before portraying roles in Les Miserables and Legally Blonde.
The singer then enjoyed a stint on Dancing On Ice in 2008 where he finished fourth on the show and was also part of the band 5th Story, which was set up on ITV’s Big Reunion show.
Back in August Gareth shocked his fans after showing off his muscular physique on Instagram in a snap with his girlfriend Faye Brookes.
