Police have made a fresh appeal for information after a man in his 20s died in a crash on the M1 last weekend.

22-year-old Darryl Thompson was killed on the Westbound Motorway on Saturday, November 10.

The PSNI want to speak to anyone travelling between junction 14 and 15 around 10.20 that night.

A man in his 20s was arrested and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Joanne Harris from PSNI’s Major Investigation Team said "My thoughts are with the family of 22 year old Darryl Thompson from the Beragh area who died last Saturday following a fatal road traffic collision.

"I would appeal to anyone who was travelling between junction 14 and 15 on the M1 motorway last Saturday at approximately 10.20pm and witnessed the collision involving one car and a pedestrian to contact police on 101 ext 21353, quoting reference number 1477 10/11/18.

"I would also urge anyone who was driving along that part of the motorway at the time to consider if they have any dash-cam footage which could assist us with our investigation."
