A man in his late teens has suffered facial injuries following a report of an assault at a licenced premises in Portstewart.

It happened in the Promenade area in the early hours of Sunday morning

Inspector Brogan said: “Enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing. We would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have mobile phone footage which could assist our investigation, to call 101 and quote reference number 66 of 02/04/23.”

On Facebook The Anchor Complex Portstewart posted a statement which reads: "We are aware of a video circulating around social media. Please note, there is an ongoing investigation with the PSNI regarding this matter. We would also like to state that all appropriate procedures have been taken."
