Ireland’s leading pop/country artist Lisa McHugh first joined the Downtown family in March 2021, with her own Saturday afternoon show.

Aiming to bring a new dimension to the weekend line up, Downtown listeners can expect a great range of pop hits spanning the decades.

“I’m over the moon to have this opportunity to host my own show,” shares Lisa.

As the entertainment industry was forced to hit pause due to the pandemic, Lisa spent lockdown exploring new music and started to concentrate on her other passion – presenting. “This led to my own podcast series, which has been a great success.”

“My friends and family will confirm that I love to sing, but I also love to chat. I’ve always been a huge fan of radio and view it as a great way to connect with others. I plan to make The Lisa McHugh show as interactive as possible and generate a bit of buzz and energy on Saturday
