Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden reveals result of his hair transplant

He admitted it made him feel 'self conscious'

Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden has shocked his fans on social media by showing off the results of his recent hair transplant.

The 37-year-old candidly opened up about his hair loss in recent years, admitting it made him feel 'self conscious' and 'uncomfortable'. Uploading a number of photos and videos documenting the procedure, Brian wrote, 'The last few years my hair line has been thinning and receding due to my life style and the general stresses we go through in life. It’s been really making me self conscious and uncomfortable so I decided to do something about it. I never thought the the answer to my problem was the young boy who sat beside me in school!!! Simon my old school buddy is the man behind the magic. It’s such a small crazy world.' sic

Sharing a video of himself prior to the procedure, Brian admitted he was looking forward to getting it done. "I feel good, I'm looking forward to having my old hair line back again, because it is going a little thin," he said in the video.

Brian then joked he felt like a character out of Peaky Blinders, before sharing a before snap of his hair.

After the procedure, Brian posted another video of himself, admitting it had taken around seven hours to complete, he said, "That's it I'm all done! I can't believe it. I thought it was going to be tough but it was quite easy, and it's just mad to think that the last 3 or 4 years getting stressed about the hair going."

He then added, "We're now on the road to watching it grow again! It is a strange feeling I have to say, but I'm excited."

The Irishman then posted a final photo, showcasing what his head looks like now the procedure is over, as he goes through the healing process.

Fans of Brian were quick to show their support for the singer, with many complimenting him for speaking out about his hair loss.

One wrote, 'Good for you Brian 👍🏼', with another adding, 'Looks great Brian ! Good luck 👍'.

Another then wrote, 'Do what makes you feel great. I can't wait to see the result. ❤😘'

Brian is yet to post any further updates of the transplant.

Brian shot to fame back in 1998 when he joined boyband Westlife alongside Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Mark Feehily.

The group sold over 50 million records worldwide, including 14 number 1 singles in the UK with hits such as 'Flying Without Wings', 'Swear It Again' and 'If I Let You Go'.

Brian announced his departure from Westlife in 2004 and released a number of solo singles. Despite this, Brian has turned his head to TV and in recent years he's appeared on shows such as Who's Doing The Dishes, Catchphrase and The Jump.
