Circle Scotland specialises in supporting children and families affected by poverty, deprivation, addiction and substance abuse. They offer respite services that are aimed at offering support when it's needed most, particularly in the summer holidays when the children do not have the protection of school.

Circle Scotland support some of the most vulnerable children living in difficult circumstances here in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. Their summer activities project will create happy memories away from any daily stresses that families may otherwise be unable to afford.

At the start of summer 2016, Circle Scotland approached Forth 1's Cash for Kids for support to fund day trips as part of respite care for the children using their service. The grant requested would help almost 100 children have a positive experience during the summer holidays.

Forth 1's Cash for Kids were delighted to be able to fund £3,000 toward's Circle's summer trips and we've already heard how beneficial they are.

Jacob, pictured above, had his day brightened up at Musselburgh beach this summer, despite the traditional Scottish weather. With the help of his Circle activity pack, he can go back to school this August with a great story to share with all his friends.
