Who we help - Clovenstone Primary School
Thanks to support from Saltire Roofing & Building we are delighted to continue supporting Clovenstones Kitchen Project
The project currently has around 40 families taking part every week, which is supporting around 100 children from nursery through to Primary 7
Funding received is used to buy cooking equipment such as baking dishes, soup pots, hand blenders etc.
The Cash for Kids team spoke to parents who access the project and some of many positives of this project highlighted were as below:
- cooking has become something they can do as a family.
- the children have tried foods they’ve never tasted before
- the project has taught them how to cook healthy meals on a budget as some of them had never learned any cooking skills and would previously rely on takeaways.
