Leonardo

Leonardo are huge supporters of Radio Forth's Cash for Kids and they've already helped hundreds of children who are living in deprivation.

Leonardo is an electronic engineering company based in Crewe Toll, Edinburgh. But they are so much more than that as they are huge supporters of Forth 1's Cash for Kids.

Throughout 2016, they have hosted a number of fundraising events to support children here in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife who are in need of our help through no fault of their own.

All areas of the company have come together to supporte Cash for Kids and the staff have even been roping in their family.

Principal Systems Engineer, Brian Airlie gathered his family together to help the charity in a last minute call for help! We needed volunteers to help us with fundraising at this year's Party At The Palace and Brian kindly obliged to round up his family and head to Linlithgow at the start of August.

Not only did he and his family help us raise more than £2,000, the kids managed to use their volunteering experience towards their badges for Scouts!

The help from Leonardo doesn't stop their though! The company organised their own lunch club afternoon for children in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. It wasn't just lunch though, the kids managed to experience the world of engineering with live robots, interactive and a disco.

Marie said: “To think that many of these children not only go hungry but can’t invite their friends over during the holidays because the expense is too great is quite heart breaking and hopefully this activity we are planning will give them a bit of a boost.”

So far this year, Leonardo employees have raised more than £10,000 for Radio Forth's Cash for Kids making a massive difference to local children who are in desperate need of our support.
