It has been confirmed that English actor Tom Hardy has set up a Just Giving page to raise money for the British Red Cross Society, following Monday night's terror attack in Manchester.

The actor, who stars in Taboo, pledged to raise £15,000 but has so far raised nearly £20,000 with the number continuing to rise.

Calling the fund 'Tom Hardy's Manchester Emergency Fund', the actor wrote, 'I am hoping to raise money for The British Red Cross Society because the families and children will need support.'
