Heidi and Spencer Pratt welcome first child and announce VERY unusual name

Reality TV couple Heidi and Spencer Pratt have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy called Gunner Stone.

The couple, who found fame on reality show The Hills, announced their happy news to American publication US Weekly and confirmed baby Gunner was born on Sunday 1st October.

The couple's rep told US Weekly, "Gunner was born at 3:06 p.m. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 19 inches long. He has blond hair and blue eyes. Heidi and Spencer are proud parents of a healthy baby boy as of this afternoon."

New mum Heidi told the publication, "We are so blessed to have a beautiful healthy baby boy," with Spencer adding, "Officially the most lit day of my life."

The pair, who divided opinion when they appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, first announced they were expecting back in April 2017.

Spencer revealed the moment Heidi told him the happy news when he said, “The look on her face, I can’t even describe it. She was literally glowing. I thought she was about to say she made muffins or banana bread.”

Heidi then added, "I started crying and he embraced me."

Since announcing they were expecting back in April 2017, both Heidi and Spencer have kept their fans up to date on social media.

Heidi uploaded a photo of herself clutching her bump to mark the nine month stage in her pregnancy. Alongside the stunning photo she wrote, '#9monthspregnant 💙'.

Heidi also uploaded a shot from her baby shower back in September. The 31-year-old shared a photo with her close friends and family, inlcuding American blogger Perez Hilton. She wrote, 'So blessed to be surround by the best friends and family! #babyshower #8monthspregnant'.

Clearly enjoying pregnant life, Heidi and Spencer shared photos from a stunning pregnancy shoot to their Instagram page. Spencer can be seen clutching Heidi's bare bump as the couple pose on a beach with stunning scenery.

Alongside the two photos, Heidi wrote, 'My guys 💙#HeavenSent'.

The controversial couple revealed they were expecting a baby boy in May during a shoot with US Weekly, with expecting mum Heidi expressing her excitement at the news.

She said, “The doctor said, ‘It’s a boy!’ I started screaming."

Admitting she thought her husband of eight years would want a boy, Heidi added that Spencer explained he'd be happy with either, as long as it's healthy.

Heidi and Spencer, often referred to as 'Speidi', celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in April after tying the knot back in 2009.

The couple's wedding aired on an episode of hit MTV reality show The Hills, the same episode which saw Heidi's former best friend and co-star Lauren Conrad leave the show.

Heidi and Spencer are yet to share any photos of their new arrival.
