Despite being on a hiatus for pretty much all of 2016, One Direction were yet again victorious at the BRIT Awards last night.

The group saw off tough competition from the likes of Little Mix, Adele and former 1D star Zayn Malik to pick up the award for 'British Video of the Year' for their track 'History'.

Despite most fans praying for a One Direction reunion at the awards show, only Liam Payne was in attendance but he certainly didn't disappoint, leaving fans all over the world loving his acceptance speech.

After receiving the award from Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger, Liam thanked fans for their support before saying the words every fan wanted to hear, "One Direction is who we are and it's who we will always be."

We love you Liam! ❤️️

As if his acceptance speech wasn't good enough, not long after the 23-year-old took to his socials to thank fans further for their support.

Sharing a picture of himself holding the award on stage, Liam wrote, 'What can I say. It's incredible that even now we are picking up these awards. This is down to the amazing One Direction fans who continue to support us around the world. I speak for every one of the band who are just blown away by the love we get from the fans. We wouldn't be here without you. ‬ ‪It's an exciting time for each of us working on our solo material but One Direction is who we are and that will never change.‬ #BRITs'

Aww!

Just hours after Liam picked up the award, his girlfriend Cheryl sent the Internet into a frenzy when she officially confirmed her pregnancy.

Posing for a snap alongside the likes of Helen Mirren and Katie Piper, Cheryl showed off her massive baby bump as part of a new three-year collaboration between The Prince's Trust and L'Oréal Paris.

The new campaign, entitled 'All Worth It', will help over 10,000 young people in the UK who struggle with self confidence.

The former X Factor star later took to Twitter to show how proud she was of the new campaign.

Amazing work Cheryl!

Cheryl and Liam's first child together is expected to arrive in March 2017.
