Local boy, Callum Beattie, looks set for big things with his amazing new single Salamander Street.
This is another single from his long awaited debut album People Like Us which was released back in May.
The title for the album comes from the response Callum got when he told his brother that he wanted to make a living from writing songs and performing in front of thousands of people.
"Things like that don't happen to people like us" his brother told him.
It's this feedback that's pushed him to be a success and show that things like that can happen to anyone who puts their mind to it.
I'm just going to keep knocking at the door until somebody opens
"I never take no for an answer" he told Callum Gallacher on Forth 1's Evening Show, "until I get what I want, I'm just going to keep knocking at the door until somebody opens, it's as simple as that!"
And we're so glad that he did.
Now he's joining a long list of successful Scottish artists, and we can't wait to hear more from him.
